The Biology of Sound
We all know that music affects us on a physical level but are you curious to know what is actually occurring in the body to make this happen? In this workshop we will explore how our biology is shaped and tuned by sound, and the physiological processes that facilitate communication between the artist and audience. Topics will include:
- How geometry and sound frequencies shape the body’s structure and function
- The role of phonons (sound packets) in the nervous system
- The effect of 432Hz tuning on the cells and DNA, and the connection to creativity
- How to optimize the physiological processes of communication between performer and audience through a deeper understanding of the biology of sound, we can not only use this to tune our own dynamic health, but also to enhance the connectivity of the performance experience for both artist and audience.
